This map shows all recoveries of Greenfinch ringed by the group. Those recovered in a subsequent winter are marked with yellow dots and those in a subsequent summer by blue dots, the two principle ringing sites are marked by larger green dots. There is a marked East or Northeast trend to the summer recoveries and a West or Southwest trend to those in the winter, including a bird recovered in the Channel Islands. This is a feature of recoveries of Greenfinch ringed in the Southeast of England clearly shown in the recently published Migration Atlas. The unusual movement to the northwest was a bird ringed on the 10th February 1985 at Sevenoaks, Kent and killed by a cat on the 19th March 1989 at Darlington, Co. Durham.
